REVIEW: MOEN Pull-Out Sprayer Kitchen Faucet

This product review is on the MOEN Pull-Out Sprayer Kitchen Faucet. I will help you determine if this kitchen faucet is good quality and a good value. I will be referring to the MOEN Brecklyn Single-Handle Pull-Out Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with Power Clean in Spot Resist Stainless because I have personal experience with this specific model.

I have just recently installed this MOEN Pull Out Kitchen Faucet in my own home. I had to replace my old Glacier Bay Pull Down Kitchen Faucet because it was leaking inside the valve and at the supply connections. I loved the Glacier Bay Faucet, but it started leaking and, in my opinion, it didn’t last long enough. The Glacier Bay is considered “Cheap” (as in low cost) for a pull down faucet so you get what you pay for.

Enough with the Glacier Bay talk, this review is about the MOEN Pull Down Kitchen Faucet.

Overview – The MOEN Pull Down Kitchen Faucet has a really nice look to it. It also has a good quality feel to it as well. The Finish on the faucet is nice, shiny and it actually is spot resistant. It will look cleaner longer.

The “Power Clean Technology” is great. My wife loves the pressure it produces. It can destroy leftover food and residue on any plate. MOEN claims it is 50% more spray power then other pull out or pull down kitchen faucets.

The supply lines that come attached to the faucet are a good quality product as well. The connections went together fast for me with no leaking. The flex hose for the pull-out feature is also made of high quality materials. My old Glacier Bay started fraying after a few years, I don’t expect that with this one.

This MOEN Faucet is not on the high end side but for the price I think it is better then the other options in the same price range.

2. MOEN Pull Down Faucet Value

MOEN Pull Down Faucet –     $129

Like I already said, this is a lower cost kitchen faucet for the pull down or pull out style. This type of kitchen faucet can get expensive with some of them well over $300.

I feel that this MOEN kitchen faucet is a good middle ground when it comes to price. You can get the lower cost Glacier Bay for about $99 but in my opinion, it is not as good as the MOEN brand. You get what you pay for in this case.

Only time will tell if paying a little more upfront will pay off in the long run, but I have high hopes. I only installed mine a little over a week ago, but I can see it is better quality then the one I took out and you are getting your money’s worth.

3. MOEN Pull Down Faucet Installation

Skill Level –     Beginner

Time –             1 Hour

Installation of any kitchen faucet can be tricky, and you will definitely need a few tools like, channel lock pliers and a crescent wrench and probably a few other tools as well. The hardest part for my install was getting the old rusty one out, once that was done it was easy installing the new faucet.
